Magdalene was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, in 1841, the daughter of Henry Breneman and his second wife, Esther Good. She was enumerated (age 8) in the home of her father at the time of the 1850 (age 8)[1] and 1860 (age 18) Census.[2] In 1860, she married John N Funk in Fairfield County, Ohio. They had at least 8 children who survived to adulthood.[citation needed]
She passed away in Kansas in 1910 and is buried at Oneida Cemetery in Nemaha County, Kansas.[3]
