Sarah Catherine Brenner was born 13 July 1840 in Indiana, the daughter of John Brenner and Francis Etinier/Itinier; she died 6 Sep 1897 in Payne County, Oklahoma[1].

In 1850, Sarah was 9 years old and living with her family in Pike, Warren County, Indiana[2].

By 1860, Sarah was 19 and married to William H. Brenner; they were living in Jackson, Newton County, Indiana with their first child, 5-month old Ephraim L.[3].

Just before the 1870 census, they had moved to Douglass, Jackson County, Kansas, and were sharing a home with William's father and brother. William and Sarah had 7 children, all born in Indiana, including a one-month old, John E. Dunn[4].

In 1880 the family was in Walnut, Cowley County, Kansas, with 8 children[5].

Per Sarah's biography and obituary on Find-A-Grave, the family migrated to Washington in 1889, but William died there in 1990. Sarah and several adult children migrated back to Oklahoma where she married Dr. Samuel Call about 1893 (no marriage record found). The family resided in Ingalls, Oklahoma, where Sarah died suddenly of heart failure in Sept 1897. Sarah was the mother of "Rose of Cimmaron" and the "Dunn Brothers", Wild West legends.
