Biography

Nathaniel was born in 1704. He was the son of Nathaniel Brett and Sarah Hayward.

He married Rebecca Searls on 2 November 1732 in Dorchester.[1]

He married Mary Dyer, widow of John Dyer on 3 February 1774 in Bridgewater.[2]

He passed away in 1779.

Probate

Nathaniel Brett of Bridgewater died intestate and on 3 May 1779, his widow Mary Brett and Jacob Packard of Bridgewater were granted the administration of his estate.[3]

In 1779, an agreement was made between his heirs and his widow Mary that she would pay the just debts and funeral costs of his estate and she would for consideration use and improve half of the estate during her natural life. The real estate was divided between his widow Mary, and his children, the sons of his deceased son Uriah (Daniel and Uriah Brett), Deborah, wife of Thomas Ames, and Hannah, wife of Ephraim Howard.
