Biography
Cyrus was born on 11 October 1792 in Iredell County, North Carolina. He was the son of John Brevard and Hannah Thompson.[1]
He served in the War of 1812. He was a private in Hall's 1st Regiment, Tennessee Volunteers[2] and Bradley's 1st Regiment, Tennessee Volunteer Infantry[3] and a lieutenant in Williamson's 2nd Regiment, West Tennessee Mounted Gunmen.[4]
He married Polyxena Mills on 22 January 1827 in Sumner County, Tennessee.[5] They lived in Smith County, Tennessee.[6]
