Thomas Lynch Brierley, the youngest child and second son of Thomas and Mary A. (Lynch) Brierley, was born on the Brierley homestead, in Mifflin township, Oct. 21, 1851, and on Dec. 28, 1876, was married to Ella S., daughter of Robert and Mary (McFadden) Rath and a member of one of the oldest families of Mifflin township. They have four living children: Thomas B., Clara E., Robert R. and Ella S.
