Biography

Samuel Bright

He was born about 1726. A baptism has not been found, but Samuel is knwon from his father, and a cousin's will. He is the son of Richard Bright and Martha Sutton.

His father Richard died in 1772, leaving a will as of "Richard Bright of Great Waltham, farmer", written 10 Jun 1771 and proved 21 Feb 1772. He bequeathed Richard the bulk and residue of his estate. ^[1]

In 1784 he received a bequest in the will of his cousin William Judd, an undertaker of Bishopsgate, London, left a will, the probate of which was proved 7 Dec 1784. ^[2]
