Celia Ann Briley married William A. Means on 21 April 1861 in Warren, Illinois.


Will of Celia Ann Means I Cela Ann Means of the Town of Ellison in the County of Warren and State of Illinois of the age of (41) Forty one years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following that is to say. First, I give and bequeath to my son William Robert Means my House and lot situated in the village of Swan Creek Lot (6) six in Block (6) six Warren County and State of Illinois. Also one (1) Bed Stead one (1) Feather Bed. Four (4) Pillows Five or (5) six (6) sheets Three (3) comfortr one (1) double Blanket. Two (2) straw ticks one (1) bed [???] and one (1) quilt. I also appoint or request that his uncle Kinchen Brily be his guardian and that in case William Robert Means my son should not live to manhood then the above property fall to his uncle Kinchum Brily and his heirs. Second.- To my daughter Mary Ellen McPhason will and bequeath one (1) b??an Two (2) beds and steads six (6) pillows bed clothes for one (1) bed one (1) flour chest. One (1) cupboard. Third.- To Ellen Brily I will and bequeath all the balance of my personal effects. And lastly I do finly nominate and appoint Kinchum Briley to be the Executor of this my last will and testament ????? ?ooking all former wills by me made. Signed and sealed in prsence of John H Brily J A Purson Dated this 22nd day of March AD 1879

State of Illinois Warren County In the County Court of said County In Probate April T??? A D 1879 Personally appeared in open Court J A Prason and John H Brily substantiating witnesses to the forging instrument of unting purporting to be the Last will and Testament of Celia Ann Means late of Warren County deceased who being duly sicom according to law do dipose and say each for himself that the ????? is the Last will and Testament of the said Celia Ann Means deceased ????? is they know or believe that they subsanted their names then to as the attending witnesses t the request of the said testator and in her ?????? and in the presence of each of the on the 22nd day of March A D 1879 that she then and there sub????? Her name then to in our presence and declared the same to be her last will and testament and that the said testator at the time of expecting  ??? ??? and afonsaid was of full age of sound mind and memory and under no ???? shaint[?] ??????? and sworn to in open court this 21 day of April A D 1879 W A Textno County Clerk J A Piersons John Brily
