Biography

This profile is part of the Dresden, Ohio One Place Study.

Fred was born 13 October 1878 in Dresden.[1] The Brill family was living in Dresden in 1880[2] and 1900.[3]

Fred married Frances Egbert. They were living in Dresden in 1910.[4] Frances died in 1914.

Fred continued living in Dresden in 1920.[5]

Fred married Rose Kammerer Christian in 1922.[6] They were living in Newark in 1930.[7] Her son and daughter-in-law were living with them. Rose died in 1935.[8]

In 1940, Fred was continuing to live in Newark with his stepson and his wife.[9]

Fred married Doris.

Fred died in 1946. Burial was at Dresden Cemetery.[10]

Frederick W. Brill Dies in Arizona

"Frederick W. Brill, 68, a former resident of Dresden, passed away at his home in Phoenix, Arizona, Saturday evening, November 16. He was the son of the late Frederick C. and Mary F. Brill, and was reared in Dresden where he resided until 23 years ago. An employe of the Ohio Fuel Gas company, he was transferred from Dresden to Newark and upon retiring three years ago, moved to Arizona.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; a sister, Mrs. C. G. Swope; a nephew, Arden K. Swope, of Dresden; a stepson and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick D. Christian, of Newark.

The body arrived at the Criss Funeral Home in Newark, Wednesday, and funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Dresden Methodist Church, with Rev. Louis Bangerter, officiating. Burial was in the Dresden cemetery." [11]
