- Ill.. Originally Isaac Brinckerhoff Jr. came west to join in the gold
- explorations and about a year later his parents, Isaac Sr. and Mary Geddes
- Brinckerhoff along with the rest of the children followed and settled near
- Dixon, Ca. The family did not stay at first in California but for a while they
- were around Walla Walla, Wa. but eventually they returned to Batavia, Ca.
- which was a train crossing just outside Dixon.
