Biography

Johan Conrad was born 4 April 1858 in Grava parish.^[1] He went to America with his parents, Anders Bryntesson and Maria Christina Nilsdotter, in September 1870.^[2]

At the time of the Minnesota State census 1875 Conrad lived in the household of his parents in Herman, St Louis, Minnesota. They were farmers^[3] At the time of the US census 1880 Conrad still lived with his parents in Herman Township. In this record his uncle John is listed first in the household.^[4]

At the time of the Minnesota State Census 1895 John C Brinteson lived in his mother's household in Cambridge township, Isanti, Minnesota^[5] They lived in the same place in 1900, but now John C was listed as head of household.^[6]

In the US census 1910 Conrad Brinteson is registered in the household of his married sister Anna Lovisa Lauby in Spooner, Washburn, Wisconsin.^[7]

Johan Conrad Brinteson died in Duluth 22 July 1911.^[8] His mother appears in the record as Maria C. Iverson, which fits with the fact that her father was Nils Ivarsson - nevermind that his "surname" was a patronymic.
