This could possibly be duplicate of But if he was the "III" SO shouldn't his father have same name?

There is no records of a William III with that name married to Rosanna Wright. Just a William Sr. of Flatrock, North Carolina of which he was a deacon of Flatrock church. Both Rosanna and William were married at Flatrock Church on March 15, 1802. Church and Family Bible records document this event.
