Biography
Ivy Beatrice (Broadley) Johnston was born in 1889 in West Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, daughter of William East Broadley (1865 - 1937) and Amelia (Simmons) Broadley (1858 - 1942).[1]
Her sister was Stella Broadley (1887 - 1964).
Ivy married Allen Percival Johnston in 1934.[2]
Her husband, Allen, passed away in 1955. A notice was published in The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957) Wednesday 10 August 1955, Page 15, Advertising, that reads ... ALLEN PERCIVAL JOHNSTON, Late of 70 Fordham Avenue, Hartwell. Retired Public Servant, Deceased. - After fourteen clear days Ivy Beatrice Johnston, of 70 Fordham avenue. Hartwell aforesaid, widow, the executrix appointed by the deceased's will, dated the 24th day of August. 1954, will APPLY to the Supreme Court of Victoria for a grant of PROBATE of the said WILL. FRANK BRENNAN & CO., solicitors. 20 Queen street. Melbourne, solicitors for the applicant.
Ivy died in 1976 in Camberwell, Victoria aged ~87,[3] and her remains were interred in the Cheltenham Memorial Cemetery.[4]
