See the email that includes a note regarding "David Crockett Brock" from Terry Harper, the Project Director - History of Edwards County Illinois, on the Slott/Sloat Cemetery page: "I found his (David Crockett Brock's) 29 Jan 1878 death recorded in Death Book 1, on page 3." Note that this verifies he was buried in the "Slott Cemetery" - but the two attempts to identify all the graves in this cemetery have not yet found his gravestone.
His place of birth is based on having an older brother and younger sister both born in Scioto, OH - and it being unlikely his mother moved away and then moved back for his birth.
