Biography

Jane was born about 1830 in Westmorland, England. She may be the Jane Brockbank referred to in the 1841 census at Haversham, Westmorland in 1841.^[1]

Jane married Charles Gee and their daughter Mary Jane was born about 1850 in England.

By 1852, the family had moved to Canada West,^[2] and Canada West^[3][4][5] is where Rachel, Robert, Sarah A., Alice, George, Harriet, Amy, and George were to be born.

No documents have been found to date related to Jane's date or place of death or burial. However, her husband was listed as a widower in the 1901 Census of Brantford, Ontario and she appeared in the 1891 census.
