George Married Agnes Young Morton and had at least seven children. When George Brodie was born on March 14, 1875, in Waterloo, Lanarkshire, Scotland, his father, James, was 43 and his mother, Jeannie, was 33. He married Agnes Young Morton on December 30, 1898. They had nine children in 18 years. He died on February 10, 1934, in Michigan at the age of 58, and was buried in Detroit, Michigan.
