Thomas Hanford and Rebecca Wardle were witnesses. Robert James Bunch B.A., rector, officiated.

In 1911, Mary Wardle (66, a widow) was living at 12 Steeple Row, Loughborough. Living in the houshold with her was Samuel Wardle (28, single, a coal carter), Hannah Wardle (33, single, a plain hose maker), Hannah's daughter, Hannah Wardle (11, at school) and Mary's son, William's daughter, Clara (14, a back winder). William had died in an accident in 1898. We can see from the part of the census that Mary had filled in that Samuel was one of 12 children, of whom 9 had died and three were still living in 1911.
