Charles Broomfield was born in New Forest, Hampshire, England.

Charles was born in 1838 in New Forest, Hampshire, England.[1] He was the son of Henry Richard Broomfield and Maria Taplin.

Charles was baptised on 2 December 1838 in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[2]

The 1851 England and Wales Census shows Charles living with his parents and five siblings in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[3] He was 12 years old.

The 1861 England and Wales Census shows Charles living with his parents, four siblings and nephew Alfred in Annesley Bank, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[4] He was 22 years old and working as a Labourer.

On 29 Nov 1863 Charles married Lucy Stote in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[5] He was about 23 years old.

The 1871 England and Wales Census shows the couple and five children living in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[6] Charles was 32 years old and working as a Licensed Victualler.

Charles' mother Maria passed away in 1875 in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England. She was 62 years old.

Charles' father Henry passed away in 1879 in New Forest, Hampshire, England. He was 68 years old.

The 1881 England and Wales Census shows the couple and seven children living in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[7] Charles was 42 years old and working as a Publican.

The 1901 England and Wales Census shows the couple and six children living in Emery Down, Hampshire, England.[9] Charles was 62 years old and working as a Publican and Gardener.

Charles passed away on 28 September 1908 in Fareham, Hampshire, England.[10][11] He was 68 years old.

Probate was completed on 11 January 1909 in London, England.[11] The beneficiaries were his wife Lucy Broomfield and Frederick John House.
