Biography

William C Brown was born in Oct 1831 in Canada as the third child of John Wallace Brown and Elizabeth Ann Jameson. He had thirteen siblings, namely: Deborah Shelia, Harriett Jane, Julia Amanda, Samuel, Eleanor, Caroline, Robert Samuel, John, John Wallace, Martha, Matthew S, Elizabeth A, and George Henry. When he was 25, he married Sarah J Porter,daughter of James Porter and Eleanora Whelan, on 06 May 1857 in Aroostook County, Maine, USA.

William C Brown arrived from Canada in 1842.

1850 Census: He lived in Salmon Brook Plantation, Aroostook, Maine (Age: 15).

1860 Census: He lived in Township 12 Range 4, Aroostook, Maine.
