"From our mother, Lucinda Brown Bennett, we inherited the love of beauty, Christianity and patience. Her life also was a self-sacrificing one as her mother died when she was a small girl. She was her father's housekeeper and looked after other small children. She was married at 17 years of age. Battling with poverty she raised her large family with patience and love, always trying to show them the beauty of the world that her Lord have given them."
