Biography
Jane (Brown) Newman is a part of US Black heritage.
Jane was born about 1844. She is the daughter of Thomas Brown and Frances Scroggins.
In the 1850 census Jane (age 6) was in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]
Jane married Charles A Newman.[2][3]
In 1870 Belle and Charles were living in Cleveland, Ohio with inferred children.[4] In 1880 they were living in Cleveland with 3 children at home.[5]
Belle Jane Brown Newman passed away in 1890. Burial was in the Massies Creek Cemetery, Cedarville, Greene County, Ohio.[2]
