Biography
James Brown is a part of US Black heritage.
James was born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 10, 1873. [1] He married Celestine (Stella) Wright on March 8, 1898 in New London, Connecticut. [2]
In the 1930 U.S. Census, James is living with wife Stella, their son Clarence and his wife Beatrice Schuyler Brown and their children in Groton, Connecticut. [3]
James passed away in Groton, Connecticut about September 1948 and is buried in the Colonel Ledyard Cemetery in Groton. [4]
