Nathan Brown- on the Pay Roll in Revolutionary War, July 1781:

  • Vermont

"A Pay Roll of Capt. Charles Nelson's Company in Col. Benj. Wait's Battalion from the 1st day of July, 1781, to the commencement of another certain roll of the said company for the said year A.D. 1781." (p.444)

Ok...go check our DNA at a 3cm/60-2000SNP, we hit 5cm a few times but the little ones are All over the place. I think your Simpson/Brown and my Brown/Simpson may be related somehow. Mine lived in Butler County, Ohio for a time. Very interesting. [[1]]

I had left Margaret Simpson off the 1820 Jackson Co., census by mistake. I looked at this census again. I corrected this.
