Daniel Brown is thought to be the son of Richard Browne and Margery Unknown who were Quakers and members of the Wellingborough Monthly Meeting in Northamptonshire from at least 1656. Two of his siblings, James and William, emigrated to the Pennsylvania and raised large families there from the late 1680s. While Daniel's family were not necessarily members of the Society of Friends at the time of his birth, they definitely were by the time of his death. His English family members were associated with the Quaker Meetings of Northampton, Wellingborough and Podington.
Daniel died at Wellingborough and was buried there on 20 July 1715.[1][2]
