Biography
Syrena Brown was born in 1818, the daughter of Joseph Brown and Sally Greenleaf of Hampstead, NH.[1] On 2 June 1842, Syrena married Nathan Johnson, of Atkinson, NH.[2]
Syrena and Nathan had five children:
John Franklin, b. 4 Mar. 1843; d. 29 Jan. 1915 (Boston)
Abbie Ann, b. 24 Mar. 1846; d. 1926
Lucy Sarah, b. 4 Nov. 1850; d. 1938
Mary, b. 8 Aug. 1852; d. 2 Oct. 1852, and
Alice, b. 8 Mar. 1854; d. 13 Nov. 1864.
This family was living at Hampstead, NH when the 1850,[3] 1860,[4] 1870[5] and 1880[6] censuses were taken.
Syrena lost her husband when Nathan died 6 Apr. 1884 at Hampstead, NH, at age 66.[7] Widow Syrena B. Johnson died 21 Jan. 1894 at Hampstead, NH, at age 75.[8] They were buried together in Hampstead Center Cemetery, Hampstead, NH.[9][10]
