Deed Book C, page 262, Houston Co., GA indicates William P. Brown of Baldwin Co., GA on 5-8-1827 grants to Mark M. Brown for the sum of .00 seven Negro slaves under condition that they are for the sole, separate & proper use of my Daughter, Elizabeth Dinkins, now in Houston Co. for her natural Life - After death, be equally divided among the children and heirs of her body. Witnessed by Theodore Guerry and Thomas Bivins, J.P. The slaves were Jesse, a man about 35 years, Lender, a female about 32 yrs, Sam, a male about 7 yrs, Jane, a female about 5 yrs, Jesse, a male about 3 yrs, Dick a male about 1 yr. and Sealy, a female about 15 yrs.

I devise my body to be buried in a decent and Christian like Manner. My soul I trust will return to rest with God who gave it.

1st I desire my just debts (if any at my death) to be paid by my Executor.

2nd I give devise and bequeath to my son John M Dinkins all my estate both real and personal of any kind ...

3rd I constitute and appoint John M Dinkins Executor to this my last will and testament.
