Biography
James Brown was born about 1825 in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, son of John Brown and Elizabeth Snaddon.
He appeared in the Scotland Census 1841, listed in his father John Brown's household, as Age 15, working as a Coal Miner [1]
He married Janet Hamilton about 1852 and they had 6 recorded children :
