Descendant of Cornelius Baldwin (1754-1826). Cornelius was a surgeon during the Revolutionary War.
Educated at the school of Horace W. Jones, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Then educated at Lynchburg College, Virginia in 1860
published " The Genesis of the United States " in 1890
Bought and resided at "Union Hill"
Alexander Brown served in the United States Civil War.
