Biography

Joseph was born in 1839. He is the son of James Brown and Helen Fleming. In 1851, at age 11, Joseph is living at Milnholm Head, Strathaven, Lanarkshire with his parents, and his siblings Janet age 13, Thomas age 7, Christina age 4, Agnes age 2, and Helen age 1 month. Joseph is a Cotton Handloom weaver.
