Married Annie Lax on 22 September 1892 in Brisbane and they had seven children named- Forrest Harold Brown, Ralph Pollock Brown, Cecil Stephen Brown, Eva Annie Brown, Charles Dale Brown [Jnr], Russell Claud Brown and Forrest Rutherglenor or Forrest John Brown.
One named Charles Dale Brown appeared in a publication in the Morning Post, [Cairns, Queensland] on 14 June 1899 page 2 Part copy- Mr Harry Fisher recently sold his well known Palace Hotel, Flinders Street, Townsville to Mr. Charles Dale Brown. Mr Brown has now sold to Mr Joseph Long late the Excelsoir. Unconfirmed
His death occurred on 12 June 1953 and the following lodges and bowling club all submitted funeral notices to be published in local newspapers. He was a busy man for he belonged to a number of Lodges- The Great Northern; Great Southern; Lutwyche Road Royal Chapter; Aviation Lodge; and Kedron Bowls Club. His name appeared frequently in Queensland newspapers discussing various subjects.
He was buried in Lutwyche cemetery Brisbane alongside his wife.
