Biography

James was in a military record in 1861. They were in the Twelfth Infantry, Bre-C.[1]

In the 1870 census James (age 35) was in Justice Precinct 3, Austin, Texas, United States.[2]

James married Elizabeth A Mckinney on 10 June 1871 in Austin, Texas, United States.[3]

In the 1880 census Harvy (age 46), Farmer, was the married head of household in Waller, Texas, United States.[4]

James was mentioned on a memorial in San Felipe de Austin Cemetery, San Felipe, Austin County, Texas, United States with a death date of 8 November 1899.[5]

Notes

Note: Moved to Shreveport, LA in 1856 and studied law in the office of Landon and Williamson. Graduated in law at University of LA (Tulano) in 1858. Entered Confederate Army in April 1861 with the Shreveport Grays. Went to Pensacola, VA, Yorktown and Houston, TX.
