Biography

Robert Bruce was born on 10 February 1783 in Ayton, Berwick, Scotland the son of James Bruce and Agnes Home or Hume^[1].

Robert was a shoemaker.

Robert married Janet Grieve (1785 - 1856) on 16 October 1803 in Ayton^[2].

Robert died on 21 May 1856 in Ayton aged 74^[4][5]. It should be noted that the Find A Grave memorial states he died in 1857 however his death was Registered in 1856.
