Samuel was born in 1890 in Rockford, Illinois. He was the son of Peter Bruneni and Theresa Marelli. ^[1]

He married Florence Turnure in 1913. ^[2]

They had one son, Leroy Brueni 1914-1972

Samuel passed away in 1953.

S.A BRUENI DIES SUDDENLY

Samuel Anthony Brueni, 62, a lifelong Rockford resident died suddenly at 10:30 am today.

Born Oct 30, 1890 in Rockford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brueni, he married the former Florence Turnure Aug. 23 in 1913. He had been employed as a foreman by Burson Knitting Company for 40 years.

Survivors include his widow, a son, Leroy, two brothers, Louis, Rockford; Laverne, Preoria; Mrs. Henrietta Silver, Fort Wayne, Ind; Mrs. Margaret Johnson and Mrs. Florence DeCarlo, both of Rockford; and two grandchildren. ^[3]
