Biography

Son of Elias Bruner (1723-1783) and Alberdina (Alberten) Bruner (1724-1783)

Brother to Johann Peter Bruner (1753-?)

Married Mary Ann (Bruner) Bruner (1768-1837)

Father of Abraham "Abram" Bruner (1798-1876), John Bruner (1805-1891) and Samuel Bruner (1812-1898)

See wife's biography for interesting story.

According to the records of the Frederick Reformed Church, Johannes son of Elias and Albertina Brunner was born on 21 June 1761 and christened on 2 August 1761. The sponsors were Johannes Brunner and wife.[1]

John is not named in his father Elias's 1783 will, so may have predeceased him.[2]

The reason for him not being listed in his father's will could be because he had just been married and may have already received his portion??

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
