Biography
Gerald Ernest was born in April 1865 and baptised at Walton on Thames 7 July. In 1871 he was living with his parents and siblings at Portsea, Hampshire. As Jerold Bryant Gerald aged 11, with his father James Bryant and his siblings Emilie Constance, Howard Rattenbury and Georgina Elsie Bryant, sailed to the USA in 1878 on board the International Navigation Company Red Star Line Steam Ship "Vaderland", arriving in Philadelphia on 29 May 1878.
He married Dora Caroline Greenwall 1870-1952 eldest daughter of Henry, in 1896 in Hawaii. They had two children born in Hawaii.
As 'George' 35, married 6 years, 21 years in the Hawaiian Islands, he is recorded in the 1900 United States Census - Census of the Hawaiian Islands living at Hana, Island of Maui, Hawaii, with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant and their son James H R Bryant. In 1910 Gerald E Bryant 44 manager of general farm on his own account, was living at Honokohau, North Kona, Hawaii with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant 36 and their son James H R Bryant 11 and daughter Marguerite E 9.
In 1920 Gerald 54 was a farm foreman living at North Kona, Hawaii with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant 47 and their daughter Marguerite E Bryant 19. In 1930 Gerald E Bryant 64. In 1930 Gerald E Bryant 64 secretary on a cattle ranch, lived in Honolulu, Hawaii with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant and their daughter Marguerite E Bryant. In 1940 Gerald E Bryant 74 was living in Honolulu, Hawaii with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant 69 and their daughter Marguerite E Bryant 39. In 1950 Gerald 84 lived in Kakela Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii with his wife Dora Caroline Bryant and their daughter Marguerite E Bryant.
Gerald died in 1951 <MI at Christ Church Episcopal Cemetery, Kealakekua> [1]
