Biography
Isabelle was born in 1835 in Gower, Missouri to Nancy Livingston and Joseph Buckridge.[1] In 1860 she married George Filbert. Shortly after beginning their family with two sons, George became a soldier in the Civil War. After the war, Isabelle had three more sons and a daughter. She passed away in 1910 in Gower, Missouri, preceding George by 6 years.
Descendants of Isabelle, through her son, David Milton Filbert, report that she suffered domestic violence from her war veteran husband, George.[2]
