Biography
James was born in 1757.[1] He is the son of Joseph Buffum and Margaret Osborne.
He married Abigail Farnum, daughter of Moses Farnum and Sarah Comstock on 31 January 1787.
His will is dated 11 February 1788 and proved at Smithfield on 14 April 1788.[2] He mentions his wife Abigail. He does not mention children, but his father Joseph, his three brothers, William, David, and Richard. His nephew James Inman son of Samuel Inman, and Niece Clarenda Pierce, daughter to brother in law Benjamin Pierce,
