Obituary, 11 August 1892

Mrs. Eliza Bullman-Hagadorn died at her home in Burr Oak, 3 August 1892. Mrs. Hagadorn was born in Glenville, Schenectady County, New York, 1 May 1818 making her 74 years, three months, three days old. While young she experienced the joys of forgiveness through faith, uniting with the Presbyterian church of which she remained a faithful member until called away by death. She was united in marriage to Samuel Hagadorn in 1842. They continued to reside in New York until 1855 when they removed to Burr Oak, Michigan, which was their last earthly residence. She received a very serious accident which proved to be fatal, living only one week. She was a terrible sufferer, but bore it all with patience and was sustained by a firm trust in the Saviour. Besides numerous friends she leaves six children, four sons and two daughters, who deeply feel the lost of a loving mother. The remains were deposited in their last earthly resting place in the Toby cemetery. surviving. Her cause of death from a serious fall suffering a broken hip and lingering one week, died 3 August 1892,

Mary, Our link is SO close. According to Eliza's obit, she and Samuel came to MI in 1855. According to Mary Jane Bulman's (Asa's daughter) obit, she came in the same year. 1855 was also the same year Asa inherited $200 from Benoni. I'm thinking that's how he paid for his big move!
