When Leander Bunch was born in 1821 in Butler County, Kentucky, his father Charles Bunch was 33 and his mother, Frances (Berry) Bunch was 26.
He married Elizabeth Wayne Hunt on January 26, 1843, in Butler County, Kentucky.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] He received Land Grants in 1851[8] and 1853.[9] They had a dozen children, all born in Butler County, Kentucky.[10][11][12][13][14] Leander Bunch was a carpenter and at one time sheriff of Butler County.[15] By 1900 he and his wife are living with his son, George Bunch.
He passed away in 1902 in Rochester, Kentucky. He is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Kentucky.[16]
