Biography

Edmund Bunney was born April 21, 1749, the son of Joseph Bunney and Mary Cradock in Freathby, Leicestershire, England.

He married Anne Hurlock (daughter of Joseph Hurlock and Sarah Hartopp) in August 1777 and changed his name in 1777 to Edmund Cradock-Hartopp.

They had 5 children; Anna Maria Cradock-Hartropp ( - 1827), Emelia Cradock-Hartopp, George Harry William Cradock-Hartopp-Fleetwood (1785-1824), Edmund Cradock-Hartropp (1789-1849) and William Edmund Cradock-Hartropp (1797-1874)

He was created 1st Baronet Cradock-Hartopp, of Freathby, co. Leicester [Great Britain] on May 12, 1796.

He passed away in June 10, 1833.
