Hannah was born about 1800, the daughter of Joseph Burchell Esq. of Leatherhead in Surrey.[1]
She married William Brown, a distributor of revenue stamps and collector of taxes in Aberdeen, on 25 May 1820.[2][3]
Their daughter, Catherine Sarah, was born a year and a month later, but Hannah died in October 1821. She is commemorated in St Nicholas Churchyard, Aberdeen.
Hannah's birth has not been identified. The date of 1800 is estimated from her marriage in 1820.
Hannah's surname is variously spelled Burchell and Burchall. The former spelling is clear on the gravestone in St Nicholas Churchyard, though the transcription on FindaGrave is erroneously spelled 'Burchall'.
