Morgan, the youngest of three sons of Matthew Burdick and Sarah Morgan was born in 1837 at New York.
In 1850, Morgan (13 years, b. NY) was living with was living with his parents Matthew (55 years, b. NY, occupation Miller), mother Sarah (54 years, b. NY) brother Charles (23 years, b. NY, occupation Miller) and Almira Kirkham (43 years, b. NY) at Easton, Washington, New York.[1]
Morgan served as a Private from 1861 to 1865 with Company B, 66th Regiment of New York Infantry in the Union Army.[2]
