In 1850, Jacob Wilhelm, a 33 year old farmer, lived with Ann, 22; and six younger Wilhelms: Cassandra J., 9; John H., 7; Rufus, 6; Mary C., 4; Sarah A., 3; and Nancy E., 0.[1]

1860 US Federal Census

In 1860, Jacob Wilhelm, a 42 year old farmer, owned real estate worth $2000 and personal property worth $200. He lived with his wife Ann Wilhelm, 39, and nine or ten children: C. J., 19; John, 18; Mary C., 14; Rufus,16; Ann, 13; Nancy, 11; Lewis, 9; Preston; 7; Lidy H., 5; and Eliza J., 26, who may be a daughter or a sister.[2]

1870 US Federal Census Fincastle, Botetourt, Virginia

In 1870, Jacob Wilhelm, a 53 year old farmer, owned real estate worth $2000 and personal property worth $400. He lived with his wife Ann, 48, and nine children: Rufus P., 26; Mollie C., 23; Sallie A., 22; Nannie E., 20; Lewis A., 18; Jacob P., 15; Hester F., 12; Emma M., 10; and Mattie G., 6.[3]

1880 US Federal Census Fincastle, Botetourt, Virginia

In 1880, Jacob Wilhelm. a 62 year old farmer, lived with his wife Anna, 61, and three daughters: Hester, 20; Emma, 19; Georgie, 16. All were born in Virginia.[4]

Jacob Wilhelm married Ann Burger on September 7, 1840, in Botetourt County, Virginia.[5]

Death and Burial
