Kiwi. Born and died in NZ.

Arthur was born in 1907. He was the son of Robert Burgess and Mary Shackels. ^[1]

Christening: 1 MAR 1908. St Mary's, Addington.

He married Daisy Jane Keast in 1934 ^[2]

Arthur was declared elected to the Paparua County Council and the Hornby Licensing Trust, for which he was the highest polling canidateon 18 October 1968 and the Hornby Licensing Trust, for which he was the highest polling canidate, in Hornby, Paparua County, Canterbury, New Zealand.^[3]

Arthur was in a notice of forthcoming election for on 4 October 1971 the Paparua County Council in Canterbury, New Zealand.^[4]

Arthur was declared elected to the Paparua County Council and the Hornby Licensing Trust, on 5 October 1974 in Canterbury, New Zealand.^[5]

He died away in 1979 ^[6]and is buried at Waimairi Cemetery, Christchurch, NZ. ^[7]

Arthur's death notice was published in the Press on 6 March 1979 in Canterbury, New Zealand.^[8]
