Biography

Hannah Bush was born in 1742, in Orange county, Virginia. Culpeper County was established in 1749, with territory partitioned from Orange County. About 1761, in Virginia, Hannah married Peter Revere, a son of John Revier and his wife, Joanna(h). The name "Bushrod" was a name in this family. Peter had a brother named Bushrod, and they named a son Bushrod Revere, as well. The surname is spelled several different way on legal documents. Children of Hannah and Peter include:

• Elizabeth Bushrod Reveer, born circa 1765, in Lancaster county, Virginia, died 1810, in Middlesex county, Virginia, married John Knight, born circa 1763, in Kedderminster, Worcestershire, England

• Joanna Revere, born March 14, 1772, died October 15, 1826, married Moses Walker, on September 21, 1791, in Northumberland county, Virginia.

• Hannah Revere, born circa 1772/73, died after June 23, 1855, married Francis Walker, DAR Ancestor #: A213666 and brother of Moses Walker, who married her sister, Joanna

• Peter Revere, Jr., born circa 1786, died December, 1852, married Catherine Lee, born 1793, in Middlesex, Virginia, a daughter of Charles Lee and Mildred Henning

Peter Revere, Sr. died in 1802, in Lancaster county, Virginia. Hannah died June 1, 1830, in Clark county, Kentucky.
