Mary Jane Weaver, one of Adams county's oldest residents, died Sunday morning at 8:15 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac H Weikert, Highland township, following a lingering illness from the infirmities of advanced age. She was 92 years, 10 months and 7 days old.
Mrs. Weaver was the last surviving member ofr a family of twelve children of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bushman, Cumberland township. She was also the mother of twelve children, eight of whom are living. Mrs. Weaver had the distinction of being grandmother to forty four and great grandmother to forty one.
Mrs. Weaver was born and raised on a farm in Cumberland township and spent practically her entire life in that section of the country. On August 12, 1849, she became the bride of Peter M Weaver.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters; Mrs. John Eshelman, Tampico, Illinois; Mrs. Annie Fritz, Orrtanna; Mrs. Lou Wills, Greenstone, Pa.; aMrs. Emma Flenner, near Emmitsburg; Mrs. Isaac H Weikert, and Mrs. John Sillick, Highland township; Mishael Weaver, Beaver Falls, Pa., and Jacob Weaver, Gettysburg. Brief funeral services at her late residence Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 with furhter services at the Church of the Brethren, at Pfoutz's Rev. B.F. Lightner officiating. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the chruch.
