Biography

Linda was born in 1914 to Nestor Bustos and Filomena Lujan.^[1] In the late 1930s she was married to Arsenio Gallegos and they had two daughters.^[2] They were divorced before 1945 when she married Gus Mekas.^[3][4] They met in California where she had moved with her two daughters. In 1950, their household also included her widowed mother with her three youngest brothers and one of her cousins.^[4]

She was divorced from Gus by 1953 when she married Pioquint Cortez.^[5] They were married until her death in 1961.^[6]
