Biography

Charlotte was born in 1875. She was the daughter of Herbert Butcher and Lizzie Parker.^[1][2]

She and her sister Kate were both christened on 30 June 1878 at St John, Blackpool, Lancashire. She was entered in the parish register as "Charlotte Annie [daughter of] Herbert & Lizzie Butcher, Blackpool, Sawyer".^[3]

Charlotte and her younger sisters Kate and Ettie were enrolled at St John's Church of England School in Blackpool in January 1888. The admission register records that their previous school was Christ Church and that Charlotte was born on 14 September 1875.^[4]
