William Butcher was born on July 13, 1841[1] in Illinois to Abraham Butcher and Abigail McCrary.[2]

According to the 1850 census, William lived with his parents and siblings in Mercer County, Missouri.[2]

William married Lucinda Smith around 1871.

William died on July 30, 1909 in Harrison County, Missouri.[3]

He is buried in the Brummett Cemetery in Mercer County, Missouri.[4]
