Biography

Lydia was the daughter of George B. Buterbaugh and Delila Langham. Her grandparents were Willam Buterbaugh and Christina Rodkey. Her great grandfather was John Peter Putterbach (Buterbaugh) who immigrated from Germany. John Peter was born in 1735 and came from Rotterham-Palatinate, Germany. Lydia was born in Indiana County, PA. in 1862. She later relocated to Dawson County, NE., along with several other members of her family. Lydia and Harvey Augustus Fairbank were married 8 Dec 1882. Lydia died 4 Apr 1914 at Hastings, NE where she had been taken for medical treatment. She had 11 grandchildren, and was 51 years of age. The Fairbank family attended the Antelope Center Baptist Church. ^[1]
