Biography

Elisabeth was born in 1855. She was the daughter of Urs Bittiker and Catherina Vonarb. She married William J. Crotts and together they had five children with four living as of the 1900 Census. The four living children are William O. (born Jun 1875), Christenia (Mar 1877), Emma (Mar 1880), and John F. (Nov 1883). She and her husband were married on 19 Feb 1881 in Chariton, Missouri.^[1]Her husband passed away in 1889. She passed away on 22 Apr 1910 in Brunswick, Chariton, Missouri and is buried in McCullough Cemetery, Triplett Township, Chariton, Missouri.

Caroline Spellman was previously married to Henrick Mathias Nolting and upon his death, married Joseph Bittiker (Buttiker). She brought four sons to the marriage: William Henry Nolting, (Feb 1854), Henry, (abt 1856), Louis, (Mar 1858) and Gus Nolting, (Feb 1862). Joseph and Marie Caroline were married on 2 May 1862.
